11 AM-2 PM Mural Launch Party

Framingham Downtown Renaissance launches its Gateway Mural Project in front of the wall at 16 Concord Street in the infamous MBTA Banana Lot.

Bring your lawn chairs, your pets and your creative edge for an awesome, artful day in Downtown Framingham, celebrating art and the great comeback of Downtown Framingham! Meet mural artist, Sorin Bica from Fountain Street Studios.

Grab your favorite color paint from our awesome stash of acryllics to flex your own creative muscles -- we invite you to put a brush on the wall and paint your own temporary design for the day. We'll have plenty on hand for your own mural fun!

2-3 PM leisurely lunch

Try the Deluxe Depot Diner, a lovingly restored antique train station designed by HH Richardson, or one of many other restaurants in Downtown Framingham. You can taste amazing food from countries all over the planet within a few blocks!

3-5 PM Artist talk/Musical performance

The Farewells acoustic duo join artists Brenda Cirioni and Leslie Zelamsky for a free fun afternoon of music and art at Fountain Street Fine Art, 59 Fountain Street.

Working intuitively yet conscious of their process, Cirioni and Zelamsky stay true to the narrative that runs through their work - weaving stories of destruction, renewal, impermanence and grace.

The Farewells mix acoustic pop, folk, rock and a pinch of electronica and poetry to form a vista of dark twang and sunny pop.

These exclusive #Framingham events are part of ArtWeek Boston, an initiative of the Citi Performing Arts Center whose mission is to be a champion for nonprofit innovation in Metro Boston and provide arts and entertainment to the greater community.
